Defense and Security of the Unified Doors of Africa.

The Military is charged with protecting the Unified Doors, promoting its global security interests, and in recent times supports international peacekeeping efforts as its influence extends internationally. The KXORM is the commander-in-chief of the Unified Doors military and appoints its leaders like the Trigon Table Generals. It consists of three professional service branches: Naval Force, Arm Force, and Air Force, and is managed by the Farba of Defense and Motherland Security.

The Trigon Table Generals

The Trigon Table Generals, also known as the "TTGens," are a body of the most senior uniformed leaders within the Unified Doors Farba of Defense. They advise the KXORM and other security and defense institutions on military matters. Like other critical Federal Offices, only Farins with an extensive military background can be Trigon Table Generals.

Fun fact!

Most TTGens are honorary Farins.

Named after the ancient rangers of Sahara and the Nile, the Medjai are a group of separate Unified Doors government intelligence agencies and subordinate organizations that work independently and sometimes in collaboration to conduct intelligence activities that support the national security of the Unified Doors. The Medjai was established by an Executive Order signed by Mansa Negasi I and is overseen by the Farba of Defense and Motherland Security, who reports directly to the KXORM. The Medjai is divided into four branches: Golden Medjai, Black Medjai, Red Medjai, and Green Medjai.

Golden Medjai

The Golden Medjai (GM) is a federal law enforcement agency under the Farba of Motherland Security charged with conducting criminal investigations and providing protection for high-profile government officials, their families, and visiting heads of state. Think of them as the more elegant or "boujee" branch of the Medjai.

Black Medjai

The Black Medjai (BM) is an independent civilian foreign intelligence agency of the Unified Doors, officially tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information worldwide, primarily through human intelligence. The BM reports to the Farba of Defense and Security and is primarily focused on providing intelligence for the KXORM and Farbas of the Unified Doors. BMs are daredevils of the Medjai, have spy personas, exceptional detectives, highly trained martial artists, and assassins, and are generally unique individuals. They are always of sound mind and strong spirit and are exceptionally astute, cunning, and diabolically independent. The BMs are relatively invisible as regular individuals hardly know or have dealings with one. They monitor events happening worldwide and ensure that they do not negatively impact the Unified Doors.

The BM has no law enforcement function and is mainly focused on overseas intelligence gathering, with only limited domestic intelligence collection. The BM is the only agency authorized by law to carry out and oversee covert action at the behest of the KXORM. It exerts foreign political influence through its tactical divisions. Functions of the BM concerning national security are comparable to those of the United States CIA, British MI6, and Israeli Mossad.

Red Medjai

The Red Medjai (RM) is the domestic intelligence and security service of the Unified Doors and its principal federal law enforcement agency. They operate under the jurisdiction of the Farba of Justice and report to the KXORM, Farba of Justice, and Farba of National Intelligence. As a leading counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and criminal investigative organization, the RM has jurisdiction over violations of more than 200 categories of federal crimes. RM is known to be overly strict, and you wouldn't want to be on their radar. Although many of the RM's functions are unique, its support of national security is comparable to those of the United States FBI, British MI5, and the Russian FSB.

Green Medjai

The Green Medjai (GRM) is an independent agency of the Unified Doors, involved with scientific intelligence and research. It is tasked with collecting and analyzing information through technological means and developing technical systems to advance intelligence gathering of the other Medjai branches. The GRM is also responsible for providing signals intelligence and information assurance to the Fabaruka, Military, and other Medjai Branches. GRMs are commonly considered the nerds of the Medjai as most GRM's are overly intellectual, obsessive, introverted, or lacking social skills.

The GRM is comprised of the following departments:

  • Domestic and Global Energy intelligence

  • Domestic and International Economic intelligence

  • Foreign and Domestic Signals Intelligence

  • Reconnaissance

  • Geospatial intelligence

  • Marine and Oceanographic intelligence

  • Aeronautics and Cosmological intelligence (work closely with the Farba of the Cosmos)

Fun Fact!

Medjai agents are not referred to as "agents" but rather Medjai. So, if there were an attack on the Red Medjai headquarters and 50 "agents" died, we'd say 50 Red Medjai or 50 Medjai killed during the attack.

6.10 Law enforcement and crime

Law enforcement in the Unified Doors is concentrated in the hands of Door and local police officials, as the bulk of the work is performed by police and detectives in the cities and other local governments. Many Door governments also have law-enforcement agencies, and all of them have highway-patrol systems for enforcing traffic law.

The investigation of crimes that come under federal jurisdiction (e.g., those committed in more than one Door) is the responsibility of the Red Medjai (RM), which also assists with fingerprint identification and technical laboratory services to Door and local law-enforcement agencies. The Red Medjai also has specialized duties, including protecting civil rights and national security and enforcing UD federal courts' rulings and Ma'at. In addition, certain federal agencies—in areas such as drugs, narcotics, and general controlled substances, firearms, etc. are empowered to enforce specific federal laws.
